The burnout working here was unimaginable. Every month it was one of the top complaints amongst the employees and management did very little, if nothing to combat it. There were no opportunities for training, I was thrust into new technologies immediately with no support or training for 2 months. There is very little structure or framework around your work and development, it all happened very franticly and reactively. Multiple colleagues were offered new positions at the company without new people being hired to fill their old role meaning there were colleagues working 2/3 separate jobs at once at the company. Management are completely out of touch with the rest of the team, using phrases such as "nobody's in a heat or eat situation yet" when employees were asking about pay adjustments during the cost of living crisis. I personally suffered immensely while working there both mentally and physically and when I brought my concerns that my work load was impacting my health to my line manager, I was told to listen to a couple of podcasts and do some of my work during my commute. At the end of this conversation I was told to make a spreadsheet for my manager to track my medication and I wasn't in good enough health to push back on this request. Major company news wasn't passed on to multiple individuals because they were on holiday, having massive knock on effects. Tl;dr - Working here you get the feeling that management don't really care because at the end of the day, they'll be alright. I wouldn't plan to have a long career here, myself and other colleagues were genuinely discussing changing careers because of our time working here.
