Too Little Local Support

Pros

Work at home. Business Development team works leads and sets appointments for you for new business.

Cons

Virtually no support locally. Real estate managing broker located in a different state and time zone. Not able to respond adequately or in a timely fashion as the broker was in a different state and time zone. No maintenance personnel to help with lock changes, or handyman type repairs. Also no set list of vendors you need for typical property management issues like AC repairs, plumbing, roof repairs, move out cleaning and move out turnover work. Had to find my own vendors and contractors. Accounting department routinely made errors on landlord payouts and on your pay but would push back to property manager to explain to landlord what happened rather than call landlord themselves with a resolution. Local office is a professional suite only with no clerical support or drop box for weekend rent payment. System used for on line payment often off line or not working properly when time to pay rent. Company takes 50% of all rental income that property manager brings in. As a result, the level of effort and hours required to the job well put me in the negative after accounting for mileage and the time it took from my regular real estate business.

Not such a great company

Pros

This could be a great company if corporate wasn't so greedy and it was organized The people that work there at corporate are generally friendly

Cons

Very low pay and corporate just cut everyone's pay and tried to spin it like it was a good thing, which was a slap in the face to all the hard working managers. Extremely disorganized, no training at all, very low pay for the amount of work, no explanation for the paycheck and it's pretty much always incorrect. Extremely cheap company, expects a lot and pays very, very little. Don't care about their managers. Managers are on the hook for any repairs done to the properties or any code violations if the owner doesn't pay, which isn't right.
