An added bullet point on cv, that said I wish I could leave it off.

Cons

Horrible/useless managers (my manager would always remind everyone that he was great bc he was in "management"). Zero communication between group Too much division of labour, this leads to lousy work bc no one ever sees the end result of what theyre doing. No direction from senior management. Just he was a heavy hitter at X bank before, so they're super important Yes it's a trading floor, so expect a locker room culture. But I've witnessed several managers going too far in demeaning junior staff.

You will work amongst the most hard working and nicest people you would ever meet and work with. Senior Management are open and friendly. Full health benefits for you and your entire family!

Cons

Work-life balance is hard at times. You will sometimes have after hour work, weekend work and work on holidays. Just make sure the work you are doing is well documented so that you can get paid for your overtime.

If you can stay under the radar it is a good place to hang out and get some personal experience, training etc, while pulling in a decent paycheck

Cons

They are prone to hire incompetent management in certain areas They are structured in a silo fashion that encourages in-fighting and back-stabbing They don't have a business plan or don't communicate the plan well at a business unit level. It appears they make it up as the go along. As noted above it is much like a kids soccer match where everyone is chasing the ball instead of a coordinated effort.
