Pros
Better than a fast food job. A great place to stunt your career. Great low wages and a place to make you feel subpar for being born in America. A great place to work if you are Japanese on a visa. You will learn the definition of nepotism, cronyism, wage deflation, broken promises, bottom of the barrel and dead end. It’s a barrel of laughs from their competitors as they struggle with the basics and pie in the sky expansions. The place is ran by a used car dealer from Japan that cherry picks a few chosen yes men to do all their dirty work and then it’s time for the blame is right game. A great place if you are ignorant and don’t know better. Join the brain drain and leave with the rest of the scientists that have left in droves since the takeover in Feb 2022. Those that have no experience or credentials are exalted into leadership. Manager roles are no to little experience required while an assistant role requires a masters degree and 10 years experience at one of the Ivy leagues. A great place for people to dress up and play, “we are a business” as company presidents and managers.
Cons
Ineffective management that is out of touch with the industry. “Do as I say, not as I do,” is the mantra here. They will make sure you feel ultra low by dismissing your suggestions when you want to help the amateur floundering biotech division about your knowledge of GMP standards. Salary is way lower than industry average but hey- they gotta pay for that weekly 1200 dollar sushi every Friday for the frozen chosen from the motherland someway somehow.
