Pros

Good salaries, very stable, company is very skittish about laying of or terminating anyone and will go to great lengths to avoid it.

Cons

Promotions and wage/salary increases come very slowly - if you do not argue for a high rate/salary coming in it will take years to get to where you want to be. In some branches it can be extremely difficult to function and to understand office politics if you do not speak and understand Japanese; though the company has been in the U.S. for 50 years, Japanese is still the primary language spoken in the office in many branches.

Pros

can't really be sacked. clean vehicles. The working staff / floor staff are good as gold. easy work.

Cons

The salary is an insult. supervisor and above really could not give a damn and are literally just interested in their wage only. you are just a number, no matter how many years service you put in. You will get stabbed in the back by someone. Nippon express uk, hayes is not one company, every department is out for themselves and they rip each other off at every opportunity. Transport depart for sure rip off the other departments continuously. never ever expect a thank you.

Pros

Timely salary and bonus, Cons overcome pros

Cons

Senior Management is more involved into politics, those who are working more than 15-20 years only promote their favorites Few Mangers are worthless just enjoying there time, Because Japanese Expats only indulge into their work dont care about local business and management decisions HR is more like old school teachers, Try to boss their sub-ordinates Operational staff is over burdened, even managers are less knowable about business
