- Flashy but never followed values:
a- "Build an inclusive culture": I felt excluded and discriminated against by the team leader who's also a master micro manager, and whom in tern mentioned that it's difficult for him to deal with a person from a different culture.. wait what?
b- "Take ownership and question the status quo": I did, and got dismissed for not giving in to being the secretary of the whole team just cause a team leader can't get the rest of the team to report on their activities
c- "Be brave, curious and experiment": as above
d- "Be ambitious, grow yourself and the people around you": well the team leader that I was under certainly didn't read this one
- Made a big fuss over the recruitment and on-boarding process, and at the end, I got hired for an undesigned position, leaders mentioned they had no idea how my job should be, I was told to get to know the company and experiment, to end up being judged of "not improving to a satisfactory level" when they had no metrics to evaluate my job, as they did not know how to approach it themselves
- Culture isn't about dogs, free food in the office, and a dented old Macbook, eventually all companies will offer that
- Assigning an HR business partner as earbuds, eventually decisions aren't influenced by them in anyway
- People especially tech talents are nothing but a commodity
- Messy unstructured work, unidentifiable processes, vague requirements and unreasonable expectations
- No KPI to evaluate a performance, hirings and dismissals based on a "gut feeling"
