Pros

Nice office in nice location near places to get lunch, IT support. Coffee flows all day. Air conditioning. A place to park your car.

Cons

Nightmare law firm. Disrespectful treatment towards women from certain partners, no support from management, no communication with certain partners, not acknowledged for going beyond the job tasks required. I could go on but It will be a waste of my time. Beware - unless you get lucky and get on a nice team .... and they are not going to be honest when they hire you.

Pros

Air conditioning and computers. Parking. Carpeting. Coffee. They provide pens and paper. Place downstairs to buy lunch. Refrigerator. Some decent lawyers if you are lucky to work for them.

Cons

Some very Rude and amazingly arrogant lawyers. Bully behavior ignored and accepted. Assistants not treated as valuable resources. No support from office manager. Some assistants that office manager is friendly with get special privileges. One assistant would leave her desk for 20 minutes every hour to go downstairs and smoke cigarettes just as an example.

Pros

The firm offers a competitive salary

Cons

Unfortunately, I witnessed out of control bullying in the paralegal department that was ignored by management and brushed under the rug; employees feared retaliation when seeking assistance with bullying; complete lack of basic business knowledge by people in leadership positions; firm-wide focus on billable hours and collections versus work product; many overly arrogant attorneys; comical lack of diversity for minorities (very small percentage of minority attorneys, maybe 3-5%, when women are not counted as a minority)
