Management Career progression Work/ life balance Employed as the Technical Manager of Hafren Theatre, Newtown Campus, NPTC Group. This company should be avoided at all costs as there is a complete lack of organisation, a feeble attempt by management to micro-manage a business they know absolutely nothing about logistically. The Theatre is managed in the same way as a local village hall, of which management have a total disrespect for employees, accompanying policies, procedures and legal obligations. It is heavily reliant on the support and direction of local community members who have nothing to do with NPTC Group, perhaps more significantly it should be noted that the ‘community members’ are friends and business acquaintances of Hafren Theatre Management. Hours are undefined and can often change depending on wind direction, resulting in a last minute event, performance etc can change in respect to date, time and duration. Incompetent organisational abilities and Failure in communication is often the result of the shortfalls of this company. You will be used as a scapegoat to avoid any repercussions that illustrate the failings and neglect of responsibilities by Management and executive board. The company will go to every effort to avoid their responsibilities rather than accept their failures and correct the REAL problems and issues, as evidenced by other reviews have always been apparent.

All college management from CEO to head of schools actively promote a bullying and ,”My way or no way” culture to staff they manage. The management choose to ignore health and safety when it suits them for an easy life. I have worked there several years and each year my already mammoth workload increases to a level that something has to give, when this is raised to management they are so spineless and dominated by their superiors they agree but can’t and won’t do anything about it. Pastoral care is atrocious, the college claims to have amazing pastoral care.... if they are approached about a serious incident regarding a student, they can’t wait to get them off the campus so it is someone else’s problem.
