Pros
The company offers good benefits, which is why most people stay as long as they do. The management style is very laid-back, which is nice if you want to just do your own thing and be left alone. However, this causes a lot of problems as well.
Cons
The culture of the company is stressed during interviews, but you will find out quickly the company has no culture. I believe this is made worse by the poor leadership and management. The President is an engineer himself and does not seem to know how to run a company and hires others in the management level who are okay with that status quo. There is no real opportunity for growth with the company. You are told what project you will work on and your input isn't really requested or desired. The company does not innovate any more. Their growth has been stagnant for years and it appears they're not capable of priming contracts. They only really pursue subcontract work and 80% of their work is through one prime... They used to focus on hiring the best talent but have shifted to hiring cheaper, younger engineers with little experience or older engineers who have dated knowledge and don't bring anything innovative to the table. Things are very disorganized and dysfunctional in both the engineering and the admin teams. There is no communication of plans or visions for the company to employees. While everyone should have a vested interest in the company doing well, really no one's opinion matters besides the owner.
