Pros

-Mostly easy workload for everyone (not the IT or data ppl though) -Some genuinely kind and bright people -Got a free trip to a beach town with a few hours of open bar, did have to sit through a few boring lectures (but worth it all told) -New CTO (Dennis) & new gen counsel (Kimberly) seem sincere, empathetic & competent

Cons

-Hunger games cornucopia-style once-yearly promotion "approvals" where directors' council (glorified knitting circle) screws over anyone up for promotion who doesn't grovel enough for their tastes. These bottlenecks occur through a formal regularly scheduled gossip sesh, regardless of prior commitments made, whisper campaigns abound. -Overpaid, underperforming upper management, powerless middle management, zero advocacy for non-managerial staff whose voices are blatantly muted = uneven compensation and disciplinary practices, crazy high turnover rate: 30% in 2019 and high 20's in 2018 -Lots of roles that should require or expect more skill intentionally hire entry level; no interest in improving any of the many underwhelming outputs & processes across org, solution is always outsourcing for actual deliverables or proudly adhering to 5th grade level work -Interdepartmental collaboration or sharing resources = anathema to directors; revenue recognition + rev reporting are only clear priority across the org

A Poor Work in Progress

Pros

Great new office, good amenities, and overall a decent benefits package.

Cons

Incredibly inept leadership that often claims credit for the work of their subordinates, very shady and uneven disciplinary practices that rely on hearsay rather than fact, a lot of whisper campaigns happening at all times, and generally a toxic environment unless you're heavily medicated and in psychotherapy. They want everyone to be a sheep and will do everything they can to quell any dissenting opinions. Basically, this place is a terd covered in gold. My advice: run as fast as you can away from this place. It's not worth it.
