Pros

Great way to learn how to work under pressure and tight deadlines. Looks great on the resume. Lots of perks if you know the right people. Sales are continually booming. If you are an executive sales associate, you will live larger than life - all other positions suck. It's a great way to learn how to play political games. It's a great way to learn what not to do when you become apart of upper-management. Fun group of people to work with company-wide. You can get free tickets to various events and see movies on the Fox lot. Great health-benefits. Tuition reimbursement.

Cons

Employees are treated like work-horses; no room for promotion or personal growth; upper management is highly inexperienced; too many people are paranoid about covering themselves because they are not knowledgeable so they will cc you and the world in email chains; lack of communication across departments; lack of a career-path - most large corporations have them, this one does not; sales is constantly changing - people getting fired and positions being redefined - it's already happened twice in the last year - sales people beware. MySpace is like a big high school. Too many inexperienced people in high positions. Lack of smart and experienced leadership.

Pros

Free lunches while it lasted, good working environment before the layoffs, flexible hours, once a big name in the tech industry is good padding on the resume. Lots of events, secret shows were fun, and a lot of connections made in the entertainment and tech industry.

Cons

I was part of the group that got laid off last year but even before that, the entire team was getting decimated every quarter. There was really only one person holding everything together especially in tech -- ronnie, if you see this, you'd really be better off somewhere else bro. People in my department working for years got laid off and only 2 people were left, which is bonkers because they sold us that they want to focus on content. There's no direction from upper management and were absent most of the time, probably golfing or on vacation.
