Pros

You don't need a degree or experience. They will promote you much faster than an average agency in order to keep at the company. (Larger role with still poor pay.)

Cons

They take advantage of people who will work hard and many hours with low pay. Very low pay for the industry. You will not be paid for overtime but expected to work it. Taking lunches and vacations are frowned upon. Management creates an unprofessional environment. All personal/professional discussions with management are not private. Benefits are not good. An Account Executive at this agency is at an Account Coordinator level at an established agency. Most positive reviews are asked to be done by Management.

I am sorry to hear you are having a negative experience at Moore & Scarry Advertising. We strive every day to have a professional environment that is centered around a family focus. Our Account Executives as well as our Jr. Account Executives get paid an aggressive commission structure. Because our AE's are making a significant level of decisions and manage a team of people they are an exempt employee therefore they are a salaried position. If you feel your pay is not accurate, or you are not receiving your overtime pay (if you are at an AC or JR. AE position), please reach out to our HR Manager.

Don't be fooled...

The vacation time wasn't bad, beer in the office on Fridays, occasional perks--I guess they have to do SOMETHING to keep their employees

Cons

After the 3 month "initiation" period, they will throw you to the wolves-- granted they do tell you this at the interview. Depending on what account(s) you are given, you could be sitting there twiddling your thumbs for half of the day or working non-stop, from 9-9, trying to keep up. Pay is low for the industry. No training whatsoever. You pretty much spend the first three months watching account executives manage their accounts without any real hands-on experience. Plus, it wouldn't matter anyway because they put you on a completely different account in the end. Hostile environment-- artists/account services/production/copywriters are constantly butting heads. In the short period of time that I was there, I was talked down to several times to the point that I dreaded going to work.

Absolutely nothing. Very unprofessional hostile work environment. Only perk is you get 104 hours of vacation time each year.

Cons

Stay far away unless you want to be bullied at work. Very unprofessional toxic work environment. You will be miserable here and it's disappointing that they allow people to be treated that way.
