Pros

The only pro to working at this company are some of your colleagues. Other than that, management is a hot mess. They have no idea what they are doing and create a toxic environment in every way possible. A lot of my coworkers accepted this role and turned down other's because of the name 'Montefiore' and highly regret it now. Management will not even look your way or go out of their way to treat you with dignity or respect as a human being. They can care less about how the work schedule impacts your life. AP was brought in 4 days a week as some sort of punishment/retaliation, while the rest of the campus is doing 2 days a week. You will be treated as a child and reprimanded no matter HOW MUCH work you put in. We are glued to our computers from 8:30am - 5pm, and there are some days we work until 10pm at night to get things done and prove ourselves worthy to management who could care less. There is zero direction or communication within the team and multiple people will work on the same things because upper management thinks he's too good to communicate with us. He literally will not look your way as you walk past him and wants to instill fear into his team. Never will he ever commend your work either and has even reprimanded one of our managers for commending us on a job well done. When you bring up real issues and say you are overwhelmed with work, they will ignore and say you are not able to manage your workload and threaten putting you on a PIP. Your concerns about the job and what makes your job difficult is not what they want to hear. Be a yes man and you're all good. This place is a joke. And no, I'm not some disgruntled employee who wants to bash Monte. I wanted to love it, but the toxicity in this place will make you lose your mind, because nothing is done to change it and if you speak up, you become a target to get fired. I wish HR would do something to actually fix these issues. Some places would appreciate the talent and hard work that our team puts in, but not here. The VP woman and male are both toxic and I have no idea how they are still hired here. Believe the bad reviews and do not let go of any other job offers for Monte. If you do get the job here and are desperate for it, PLEASE, continue your search for another role. I really want to save the mental health of anyone who applies here thinking they are moving into something positive. I really wish that was the case and that I could build a career here, but it's not.

Cons

Management, office location, old building and dated culture from boomer senior leadership team. extremely toxic. AVOID. THE PAY. If you are okay with living in NYC and living paycheck to paycheck, then this is the place for you. Zero work-life balance here.
