Favoritism, they literally have birthday parties for manager’s right in front of all the employees in which all the other managers show up as a prime brown nosing opportunity. They're all intermarried and have uncomfortable personal ties to one another.
They have been on a pay freeze for 3 years and continually hire new staff. Managers are given promotions and even have positions created for them. This may be a pyramid scheme.
Some of their management do not know how to do their jobs and you are actually better off asking other employees. The other managers refuse to help even when the company is grossly behind their workload.
This company just barely scoots by on legal regulations. They don't have a real HR department, as their HR rep also manages another department. They can't keep legal matters straight on anything. It's only a matter of time before they bite off more than they can chew and implode... again.
Incompetence aside, there are genuinely selfish, bad, and spiteful people managing this company. They will stab you in the back while smiling and then they will joke about it at their yearly Christmas party - this is not an exaggeration.
