A Toxic Experience – Run Far Away

Pros

To be fair, the office location is good and majority of the colleagues are nice and helpful.

Cons

Mitrade should be a case study in how not to run a company. The management team is like communist party, more interested in power plays than leading effectively. Non-existent communication between different offices, PRC colleagues are more interested in back-stabbing & sabotaging you than working collaboratively. Zero recognition for your effort as every employee is just a pawn to the owner, extremely high turn-over rate as every quarter, employees are fired without valid reasons. I wouldn't wish this experience on anyone, do yourself a favour and avoid this company like the plague.

Dear Anonymous Employee, Your feedback means a lot to us. We want you to know that we're taking your experience seriously and are committed to making things better. While we understand that your time here might not have been ideal, it's important to mention that many of our team members have had positive experiences, as reflected in other reviews. As a dynamic fintech company, we're all about testing ideas, embracing failure as a step to success, and learning from it all. The world around us changes fast, so we're right there evolving with it, always pushing boundaries and challenging ourselves. Our people are our backbone. We believe in a meritocratic approach, seeking out the best-fit talents who drive our company forward. Mitrade is an award-winning, licensed, and regulated trading platform. Our commitment to excellence is rock-solid. Nonetheless, we hear you – your feedback truly helps us shape a better future. Regards, The Mitrade Team

Pros

They will retrench you and still pay 2 months notice no matter your length of service

Cons

Owner of company is very micromanaging with no clear vision. He removes teams entirely and frequently within Singapore office and out of Singapore office. He constantly belittles locals and complains that they are too naïve with no understanding of industry. If this company gets brought up to the Ministry of Manpower, there would be no doubt that the company and owner would get into trouble with the law. There is no clear and unified vision from management on the type of people that they want to hire and direction that the company wants to take. Company often backtracks on paths abandoned months ago

China Imperial Dynasty

Business outlook

Pros

- Work life balance of 9am to 6pm. If you are able to provide greater emotional value, your working hours can be highly flexible. - Working with stakeholders in China and other entities (those countries deemed as high financial risk) primarily, will ensure that you are actually intellectual and provides a great sense of satisfaction. - Gain valuable skills such as really being good in small talk, creative ways to be compliant, most importantly providing emotional value to key members in the dynasty.

Cons

Well, there are really way too many to actually state but since the company doesnt really care about employer branding, i'm going to do my part to help future job seekers. Management style: - Chinese dynasty ruled by an emperor in extreme denial with the grand eu**** with a negstive public record running the show. In short, your only KPI is to provide sufficient emotional value to the grand eu**** to ensure promotions/$$$. - Professionalism and work is really not required. We have diverse backgrounds with amazingly inflated titles packed with amazingly little knowledge and relevant work experience. - Value of work experience gained compared to actual commercial organizations, none. - Grand e***** and the concubines expect people to leave in 1-2 years and hence, if you're looking for career longevity , all the best. - Mental health + Career progression are taboo topics unless you are providing sufficient emotional value to the key members in the court.
