Sales team, good group of people.

Cons

Turned in resignation after 10+ years at ShoreTel (purchased by Mitel), went to what they consider a competitor (though in all my years we never ran into this company). So notified them even though didn't have to say who. Wanted to also help transition my tribal knowledge. Mgr came back and said HR said I need walked out. Fine that is Mitel choice, however they've elected to not pay my last two weeks even though I gave notice and they asked me to leave. So word of caution to my fellow ShoreTel friends - if they walk you out, don't plan on them paying you (it is the choice of Mitel). Though had I known, they would have gotten no day's NOTICE.

Great and talented people, like a true family. Had 3 amazing managers during my 4 years here - all were great leaders. Good salary, decent benefits - I was always very busy!

Cons

PLM teams are in complete silos. Integrations to other products is all “professional services”. Heritage Mitel Cloud strategy consists PBX in a data center. No geo redundancy - constant downtime. So many cloud offerings - which are finally being consolidated. Terrible or nonexistent processes. I'm from heritage Mitel side and it's clear that acquisition of Shoretel has been poorly handled - lost most talent and killed a great culture. Within 9 months, 80% of Shoretel SEs left to either 8x8 or RingCentral.

I work with some great people who are smart, fun, and dedicated.

Cons

Leadership/management make decisions that blow my mind. Laying off many long-time, loyal employees to replace them with workers in India, while leasing some of the most expensive North American office space. Acquiring other companies while struggling to clean up previous acquisitions that are still a mess. Divisions and geographic locations vary wildly in experience and philosophy. I'm often dumbfounded.
