Pros

None apart from the monthly pay and holidays but that is little compensation for the rest

Cons

Finally started EMDR trauma therapy. I am posting this to make sure as many people as possible know this is entirely down to the serial abuse and bullying I encountered whilst working for the mental health charity MIND ( yes you read that right) it has gone on for 6 years and still is. For 4 years I have battled to get a diagnosis and treatment and faced door after door closed by the mental health services. Only my sheer persistence has got me here. I'm one of the lucky ones. Many peoples lives and livelihoods have been destroyed by MIND and I can tell you for a fact they still are right now!. It's a massive scandal on a national scale. One day it will all come out. If you are suffering from workplace bullying remember it is not your fault. There is light at end of tunnel

Pros

Some sound colleagues, easy commute for me

Cons

As other reviewers have said, a toxic culture of cronyism and nepotism. The level of incompetence among those promoted by their friends was extraordinary. The senior leaders seemed to be happy to watch services go down the pan rather than manage the incompetency. Dreadful culture of bullying. There were several managers well known to be bullies, which seemed to be tolerated by their seniors. I witnessed a lot of harm done to employees with mental health problems, in terms of not taking their difficulties seriously, ridiculous workloads, vague targets and strategies and poor communication.

Pros

Quite literally, nothing. I have received counselling after my experience of working here.

Cons

- Culture of bullying, belittling and general abuse from managers which is hidden and ignored by HR. - Disclosure of mental health treated with complete disrespect - I was left in tears due to informing 'the wrong person' of my need for help. - The set up of what should have been an excellent new service for the area has been completely destroyed by the hiring of two completely incompetent 'managers' who have no prior experience and a total disregard for their staff. This is evidenced by 7 people within this team leaving over the course of 4 months.
