Pros

- Good location - Friendly workplace environment - Lots of different learning experiences available - Consistent work and reliable management

Cons

Part of consistent work is sometimes things get extra busy and additional weekly time is needed to make sure deadlines are met. Thankfully the whole team is aware and helpful when this happens and things get back to normal pretty quickly

Pros

MEG gave me my first job in high school as a part-time digital archivist, and over the course of about 4 years it was an exceptional place to work. I was given a great deal of growth opportunities - and after a few years in college, I contributed remotely to the social media presence as a graphic designer. Later on, I was very proud to be able to help with their rebranding efforts in the summer of 2019 after I graduated, though I had to leave the company this past October since I relocated to Columbus. Millies invests heavily in developing and attracting young talent, and are skillful in providing tools and guidance on a very personal level. They are future-oriented, and readily invested in new equipment I pitched to them. In the many years I have been familiar with MEG, it is clear that they are resilient and adaptive. They have been able to navigate their industry well – taking advantage of good markets and making efforts to diversify into new ones. I wish them all the best and am confident they will make it through these uncertain times!

Cons

I was not a fan of the floorplan of the main office and thought parts of the building were overly cluttered (part of my job as digital archivist was to digitize old projects to help with this). That being said, they began the process of remodeling this past summer and I understand they are mostly digitized now.

Pros

This company is a rarity in the job marketplace, especially in a small suburb of the Chicagoland area. Millies is very conscientious of their employees. They realize without their employees they would not have a company, which is why the average employment of 22 employees is 10+ years. Generous Salaries. Benefits abound. Extras plentiful, Half-day Fridays (year-round), company paid outings, lunches etc. The Principals engage with the employees. Millies is always striving to show appreciation to their employees. Employees are also challenged by the diversity of projects in the MEP aspects of the engineering field. Millies is dedicated in an effort of implementing and using the latest technology available in their project designs. Grateful to be an employee at Millies Engineering Group.

Cons

Growing too fast, can be a hazard.
