Cons
Limiting budget for company activities has raised lots of concerns. Some of them includes not providing paper cups for drink tea/water, reducing number of hours of AC is running, collecting money from employees for company activites, etc. Millennium IT(I will use MIT hereafter) "WAS" a reputed company in Sri Lanka when I accepted the job. Due to poor and shot term management strategies, now the company is going down and lots of employees are leaving and planning to leave in near future. However, management is not taking any action regarding this matter. They do not understand value of an experienced employee who is an expert in technologies used by the company. Due to this huge brain drain, future of the company is blurring. According to my point of view, MIT management is thinking that the vacant positions can be filled with new employees and company will run successfully. They are not having a better vision and decisions are taken based on their silly plans. They have forgotten that employees must be treated well and taken care of. Instead, company is just expecting a high quality outcome truncating benefits given for employees. I am not clear about the reason for this change as top board is always saying that company is performing well until it comes to salary increments. MIT "HAD" operated in a transparent manner in the past and now it has become a black box(most likely a pandora's box). I wish the company management will open their eyes and see what is happening inside and use their teeny tiny brains to save this company.
