Poor leadership and a culture of gaslighting

Pros

A worthy cause to pursue

Cons

Led by a CEO who has no vision or fortitude, this is a seven year old company that still operates like an early stage dumpster fire. Putting aside the toxic culture and utter lack of honest communication on both internal matters and with external marketing and sales decks, be sure to check out the Mightier product. There is always a giant stack of returns by the office door.

Pros

The product is really cool and has a lot of potential. Great mission of helping kids with mental health.

Cons

This awesome product will never succeed because of poor leadership. Because of the leadership team, the product doesn't develop or get better. If you go out in the world, nobody knows what it is despite the pressing need for this type of product because leadership won't invest in marketing. I would be absolutely shocked if this company still exists in a year. This company has so many talented people on the staff who don't succeed because the toxic leadership kills every idea that showcases any creativity and then gaslights you into believing that you didn't present anything.

Pros

The Mission is fantastic and motivating. Working with lots of very talented people. Love the in-office space.

Cons

Leadership is very inconsistent and will gaslight your concerns away. Organization changes and projects are dropped without warning or reason. Professional support and development doesn't exist. Often employees needs are ignored. The environment is an unhealthy competition between departments for resources. Tons of turnover in key positions - business development, marketing. Diversity isn't a major consideration and it's reflected in the company hierarchy. Multiple employees have been fired without warning or opportunity to improve their work. Lots of promises made both during employment and during interviews that were untrue.
