Pros

Compensation and Benefits were excellent. From the generous commission structure to 5 weeks of PTO.

Cons

A significant issue I've noticed is the promotion of inexperienced employees to leadership positions with no support or guidance. This leads to a culture that seriously lacks consistency, transparency, and respect for fellow employees. Often inexperienced leaders would exhibit "power plays" to put other employees in their places, or conspire to have certain employees demoted or rerouted to other teams. Another main issue is the "every office operates as its own business" philosophy. This leads to major disconnects across regions. There are no consistent best practices and yet traders are reprimanded and in worse cases terminated for "failure to follow" nonexistent best practices. Finally, the "always win" mentality gone wrong leads to immense pressure on traders to deliver what as over promised by sales. Failure to deliver would be bubbled up to leadership and rumors of incompetence would spread. This created a hostile work environment where teammates seized opportunities to push the blame onto someone else to avoid being humiliated by leadership.

Transitioning from a great company to a mediocre.

Pros

All pros have gone for bottom most level employee. Nothing left. Only middle management uses its power to enjoy all the pros at its will.

Cons

Note for job seekers: Be aware of this company office in India as this has now converted into hire and fire kind. Join only if you are having a bad time in your career and only if no other option exist. Managers role is only to attend infinite meetings 24x7 and to become a people manager altogether. No growth and highly politics infested. Transitioning from a great company to a mediocre: Who wants a company which has the culture of employee happiness at the top priority and only wants to works for it always. Who wants the company to be driven only by employee satisfaction and literally keeping the attrition rate below 1-2%. Who wants the company which gives enough freedom to the employees to work from anywhere with flexible timings and let the employees to take day offs when needed. Who wants the company giving the employee with the best salary in the market and hikes as close as 30% each year by promoting the well deserved at the right time. Who wants the company in which one is always surrounded by highly talented people hired only from prestigious colleges in India. It’s the company where every employee dreams of and that's where MIQ stood all these days. But unfortunately it's past and closed all the gates of happiness and positivity now. Current Scenario: Employee satisfaction is the least and not even taken care of. Alarming attrition rates reaching to 60%. No freedom to employees is given now as management lost trust in its employees which resulted in revoking Work From Home (WFH) policies and even imposing restrictions on office timings as well. Even top management shifted their place close to the entry gates in order to monitor employees in and out times which is an indicator for severe loss of trust in their own employees which is a very high demotivating factor for the employees. The hiring is so tough at MIQ where 1 in 100 resumes gets shortlisted and 1 or 2 converts happen out of 100 shortlisted. Being such a choosy employer and not keeping enough trust on its hired ones will not make the company grow further. Hiring great people and not giving enough freedom is something like willing to drive a car faster to the destination by pressing the brakes very hard which means you never reach your destination as you are not releasing your brakes and currently you are not moving at all. All the employee freedom is lost now and eventually resulting in a heavy brain drain which is a seriously alarming indicator that MIQ higher management is ignoring currently and definitely will pay a heavy penalty in the near future if this continues. Politics: Politics are reaching on a different level altogether by the middle management by misusing the powers they have. People who joined the company in the initial stages and have grown to manager levels are not respected by the people who joined recently which is causing severe conflicts. The recently joined middle management is screwing the life of the employees in their greed to own the control over their teams by falsely imposing unusual processes and firing the employees at their own will which are not acceptable by any one who has a common sense. The higher management has to open their eyes and control their mindless middle management and stop ruining the life of employees at the bottom most level.

Pros

Good benefits Most people are good to work with Very fast-paced and competitive workplace that enables you to be efficient at the job

Cons

Inexperienced middle management, they have minimal experience and end up demotivating their employees. Very political - a lot of people gossip and stab other coworkers in the back. Middle management doesn’t care about employee growth, the only thing they care about is maintaining their positions, and maximizing their paycheck. Aggressive quarterly goals that make people stressed out even though they are trying their best. Upper management should understand that 20% annual growth is great, and exceeds the industry average. Most people are demotivated compared to previous years, people used to come to the office happy and believe in MiQ. Since Q3 last year this has not been the case.
