Metro is a good company for those trying to establish a long-term career. A good number of employees work there for many years and seem to be happy, in general, with the benefits that are provided.

Cons

The ability to increase your salary is limited, so your starting salary will have a great influence on your future earnings potential. This includes getting promoted within the company, even if the job is completely different. Outside candidates are often brought in at a higher rate than candidates that are promoted internally.
