Pros

They have a cafeteria that occasionally serves decent food.

Cons

Work at Medpro if the following apply to you: 1) If you like knowing more than your manager but like getting paid less than them. 2) If you like to have your work/ideas stolen from your manager and called their own. 3) If you are a yes man/woman, and have no opinion. 4) Like being led by egotistical shovanists. 5) Have zero interest in career advancement.

Pros

When the original owner ran this business, it was the best place to work in Ft. Wayne. When "GE" took over they ruined the business with incompetent people. When Berkshire Hathaway took over the same "GE" people remained. Warren needed to do a house cleaning when he took over the company. To bad Warren will not change the people in management positions when buying new companies. Big mistake there! For recent grads, get what you can out of them education etc. and then leave. Many are doing this as there is a revolving door constantly spinning there.

Cons

Don't ever question what a manager does like you are told in integrity meetings. If you do, you will be verbally abused and harassed to get you to quit. If you make it past all that, then they will set you up and tell you that you can't perform your job anymore. Because face it, they want you gone. If you are a real go getter and most likely smarter than your manager, the manager will see you as a threat and move quickly at all lengths to remove you. Annual pay increases at review time only amount to 1%-2% with very small achivement checks given out in December of each year if manager thinks you deserve one for usually less than $200.

Pros

Inexpensive insurance (not sure why they don't pay the remaining 20%), on site gym. Record profits all over the place.

Cons

Zero work/life balance across all departments. Exempt employees are expected to go 50-60 hours/week and are expected to wear it like a badge of honor. Non-exempt are expected to put in 45-50. Sure there is OT but at what cost? You're shown how flashy and new everything is during the interviews. Don't worry, you won't get to enjoy it. Managers ask a lot but won't back you up. It will always be their butt covered before yours. Review process is pointless. Reviews are delivered by your manager but final financial call is decided by disconnected higher authorities. Record profits but shrinking (at best) raises company-wide; not even cost of living the last go around for most areas. Company-wide employee satisfaction is at a record low and retention is in the toilet. IT is incapable of implementing meaningful system updates that are halfway done at best. There is a reason most job postings repeatedly show up or in most cases are never even taken down. Want to know what it's like to be a part of an organization that has been around since 1899 and still operating the same way? Want to be a part of an organization that seems to find every way to do business the wrong way? Apply today! Want a way to better your career and do something meaningful? Keep looking.
