Cons

Extremely busy, very little regard for your personal life when working, bonus compensation was very poor

Pros

First, the position is what you make of it so you have some opportunity to branch out if you show interest. Second, management really cares about you and you can make good personal relationships with colleagues. Third, the work environment is not overly cut throat so you get prestigious work without it being de-humanziing. And lastly, the firm does some great, meaningful pro bono work.

Cons

The perks for staff (and attorneys even) are not that great since the firm is based out of Chicago. Mentorship is particularly bad for basically anyone that is not a summer associate or first-year. This breeds a lot of bitter feelings that are avoidable.
