Pros

If I had to choose a pro I guess I would have to say the pay.

Cons

No raises after two plus years. Management doesn't care about employee safety. COVID coverups. Management has no idea how to operate a mine and refuse to listen to anybody. Rampant favoritism. Inability to advance career.

Pros

The mission is outstanding: bringing rare earth manufacturing back to the USA.

Cons

Management is indecisive on essential issues and doesn't care about people. There is too much office politics in the Fort Worth magnet plant, and it's hard to get anything done. The office culture is not good for employees' mental health. This company also has only one customer and is losing millions of dollars each year (unprofitable), which puts tremendous pressure on employees in terms of bonuses, stocks, and getting anything approved. The leadership micromanages everything and doesn't let people own anything. For instance, they make every salaried employee report hourly logs on projects every week, which is out of the norm for salaried employees. Nobody except the EVP makes any decisions, not even the VPs and directors.

Pros

Globally relevant work, fair pay

Cons

Below points are in regards to the Magnetics division at Fort Worth: Clueless management (very focused on PR posts on LinkedIn and nonsensical HR activities, with no real attention to what the employees really want and need) Toxic work environment (employees openly discussing how to get their fellow teammates fired) Leadership surrounded with yes-men; Limited professional growth (subject to ethnicity/nationality and willingness to brown-nose bosses) Extreme micromanagement (salaried employees have to log their daily work hours, practically all decisions are taken by upper management with zero delegation) Lack of recognition for work (well below the industry standard for salary increments) Very little transparency in collaborative projects. All of the above has caused alarmingly high attrition in the employees which is detrimental for the company growth.
