Pros

Hmm, you know that vital moment when you're stuck for words and they never appear, like when you're on a date, writing a thesis, or trying to list pros for Pcubed? OK, so pros fail me, I guess travel opportunities if you want to continually spend 5 days a week away from home collecting points? Apart from that, you could perhaps squeeze in some training in the 6-12 months you'll be here before realizing your soul has been sucked from under your feet

Cons

Absolutely no work/life balance whatsoever, consultants are purely seen as revenue generating and are often scared for their jobs if left sitting on the bench for too long, and let's face it, that happens a lot with such few clients Consultants are treated appallingly by HR through broken promises, lack of transparency on salary & bonus figures, and a dinosaur-aged approach to employee engagement No new IP produced, no thought leaders despite branding themselves as insight-leading. Relying upon 1 magical client that falls for their overinflated hype and proposal process Inner boys club acts as top management, has beens who are completely removed from the latest trends in the market and are too busy doing 'management stuff' to contribute to delivery or company development Seen way too many employees pushed out the door, and these were the ones that were challenging to be the next leaders within the organization, those that were generating new ideas and bringing new clients to the company. Shocking treatment of those who devoted their passion for such a lousy cause

Pros

None. Well that's not true, there are small pockets of knowledge and intelligence across the company, but they have been smart enough to insulate themselves from senior and executive management so they just do there own thing. I think they are let do this because; 1, it brings in money; & 2, senior and executive management don't understand what they are doing, so to save looking like the fools they are they just stay away (except when there is a free meal)

Cons

Management have an inner circle. If you question the inner circle you will be shut down and shut out. They have no care for you as an employee, although they will email you and tell you verbally to your face that you have the skills they need in the company, and as soon as you make a proposal to bid for some work they say that it 'Isn't in their wheelhouse". Leaves you wonder why they actually hired you. The new yearly pay review is now linked directly to your charge-ability, so if you have any 'bench time' don't expect a raise, and they'll tell you that's not how it works, but it does. They significantly underpay, and overwork. The company is run from the UK and it would seem that ex-pats are the way they keep it 'in-house' sadly the people they have put in some positions have no management skills, or even social skills.

Pros

Employer portion of health benefit premiums is generous. Added 1 star for that.

Cons

If you're looking for a career as a consultant, this will not help elevate your game. Not sure if it's job market forces in recent years, but they'll take anybody and I mean anybody. While they tout themselves as a management consultant company, it is really more like a staffing agency in terms of the caliber of people they push through and the salaries they pay. I've seen things that would be absolutely unacceptable within any other company I've worked for in my career. I've worked with many well known management consulting companies and they typically employ the cream of the crop. This is not the case at Pcubed and it's not limited to the people in the trenches; it also shockingly exists within the corporate offices and executive positions. When I was in salary negotiations, I could not pin down the recruiter on the frequency of salary increases. I came to find out from peers that it's a rare thing. Be forewarned. The performance review template is an absurdly cumbersome multi-tabbed Excel workbook--like nothing I've ever seen. Plan to spend hours working on it. The long-timers are very cliquey and badmouth other employees behind their backs. While I don't have a ton of concrete evidence, I have enough circumstantial to say I feel I was played and that people in leadership roles did not act trustworthy with me. Also, if you interview, plan to give a PPT presentation "selling" Pcubed to fictional prospective clients. While that makes sense if you're in a sales position, the majority of the positions are project/program management. If anything, the presentation should be centered around a fictional project and how the individual would tackle the scenario. Should've been a red flag to me that they do things that don't make sense and are incongruent with good business practices.
