Pros

One great thing about this company is that they put a lot of effort toward making informed pragmatic decisions when it comes to hiring new employees. They are generous when it comes to facilitating company gatherings or holiday parties. The family prides themselves in being a great place to work and portrays their business as one that treats it's staff better than the rest. Such as a healthy work/life balance, fair monetary compensation and benefits. What more could you ask for! I have never worked for a company that took more pride in the product they were selling. It is impressive and admirable. They stand behind what they sell and it is indeed a great product you can be proud to be selling. They believe in healthy living. They also provide a clean work environment. This may seem like a given to most people. However, if you have been in some of the cesspools passed for lunch rooms that I have unfortunately come to know, this is something you learn to appreciate greatly! Rich Lovering Sr. specifically, I can say is sincere and genuine in his employee relationships and conversations. I believe Rich Lovering, who is the company's Vice President, is a knowledgeable and respected leader.

Cons

The biggest issue you will face as an employee at this company is the fact that the sales performance is extremely underwhelming. To say the company is struggling to move product is putting it delicately. So from jump street it is indeed a huge challenge. Add on to that an attitude from clerical staff as well as management portraying themselves to have greater culture and talent than others in the industry makes it a tough pill to swallow. Although they make knowledgeable hiring decisions and have some talented people working there, when it comes to appreciating and recognizing those employees for their dedication and hard work they fall short. Because of this the majority of the permanent staff possesses mediocre and mechanical skills. Every employee hired is given the same promise of empty platitudes and vague expectations. If you happen to have had any previous experience working for a dealership that mistreated you in any way, they make it a mission to play on those fearful and dreaded feelings of being overworked and under-appreciated and/or underpaid. The business is known for its lack of professionalism and respect when it comes to management-employee relationships. So when you leave the interview at this company you feel like this is the job you have been waiting for! Respect, fair wages, and you won’t have to live there! However, this is a facade if I have ever seen one. What they fail to mention is the quid pro quo attitude that comes with the gig. Because they pay you fairly and don’t make you work 12 hour days you should be grateful and feel lucky to work for such a morally sound company. The attitude is such that working for them is a privilege and no one is truly deserving. Regardless of the surplus of mandatory daily/weekly/monthly meetings you are required to travel to on a regular basis whether it’s during your time off or not. With so many meetings and check in's, you will end up regularly working above and beyond your scheduled work week. Let alone the time spent on 100’s of petty, passive aggressive interoffice emails circulated daily. This place is also a "fishbowl" atmosphere. The current people in charge are a 2nd generation duo whom is persnickety, callow and amateur. I suppose having the luxury of never being burdened to check your bank account or further more ever even registering a vehicle will make one a tad condescending in demeanor and pretentious when it comes to worldly business decisions. Staff is reprimanded like children for things like wearing a pair of overly used foot wear that doesn’t convey the professionalism the family business demands. While management brings their dog to work every day, most middle management at the dealership has difficulty respecting such self-serving and specious leadership. If you make a mistake EVERYONE knows about it and you will be lectured about it by 5 times by 5 different managers as well. Whether the mistake is as frivolous as a typo or not, YOU WILL HEAR ABOUT IT. Not only will you hear about it you will be reminded of it every chance they get. When your mandatory participation is needed to meet the companies needs you are showered with phony, cliche compliments. When it comes time for reviews or performance evaluations, management becomes laser like focused on only your mistakes and shortcomings. This company is reprehensible when it comes to integrity. The irony is that this company has such a high opinion of it's own integrity and values. At least most other companies are upfront when they are essentially "doing you wrong". The only difference at this place is that they hide it well. They use convoluted terms such as “guarantee” in lieu of the word “draw”. They can pretend they are doing it different, when in fact stellar employees’ performance will be assessed with such intricacy that in no way will you ever be deserving of their praises or a simple THANK YOU. Current management running the store ONLY recognizes the minor and minute mistakes and IGNORES and or forgets all together the contributions and hard work you give to the company. Management is consistently hypocritical regarding core values and policies. Policies and procedures are also contradictory from day to day depending on which department you work for and who your boss is. Don’t drink the kool-aid at this place. There are indeed other dealerships out there that will treat you right, pay you well, and give you a 40 hour work week...Without the pretentious and callous attitude.

Pros

A company that truly cares about their employees. There is a good mix of new and longstanding management that is really looking to improve the culture. It is definitely a place where you are expected to work hard but those that do are rewarded. Most managers seem to be approachable. Note to the below review with comments about management - maybe you weren't the best fit for the company? You can hear the bitterness in your words...Being someone who has worked at other companies, I can tell you this place is surely not for everyone. It's sad to see someone talk badly about the Lovering family.. It would be nice to see the owners more but overall they are a very good family to work for.

Cons

Because there is a lot of change happening at the company, things are changing so quickly that sometimes communication falls short. Management should try to take their time implementing change especially when it affects many people in different departments There has been turnover, especially in the sales department but I think it's only to make a better team.

Pros

Working there is fairly easy as far as auto sales Good product Work hours not bad

Cons

Poor Management Low Volume sales, never make decent money unless you are a brown noser. Managers play favorites A revolving door as far as sales managers and employees The sales staff, not all, that's survived there for any length of time just don't care. Big brother is always watching your every move rather than doing their job
