Pros

nil, there is no work just endless tests which is probably you doing their work for free under the guise of tests

Cons

spend hours and hours of your own unpaid time doing various tests and reading manuals on how to pass these tests, get offered more tests to do, spend more time (approx. 3 months altogether) and finally get accepted, Then don't get offered any work for several more months, send email querying it and get told there is no work available. Thanks for wasting 3 months of my time for nothing.

Pros

-Work from home -You choose when you work -It's easy to log time worked Overall I love this job! I love the flexibility, and being able to work from home. The tasks are really straight forward and if it weren't for the cons it would be a 5 star job for sure.

Cons

-There's frequently no work. -It's really difficult to get in touch with higher ups. -The exam process was long and tedious. During this pandemic I thought I would be safe since I already had a WFH job. Wrong. I've spent so many hours just trying to find work and there's nothing. You don't get paid for the time you spend looking for tasks so it's a lot of time wasted. This job would be perfect if there was always work available, but even before the pandemic I often struggled to get my 20 hours for the week in because there wasn't enough work. It's already Thursday and all I have worked is a little over 2 hours. Normally I'd be done for the week by now with my 20 hours. So the no work situation is REALLY bad. The irony is that I still see on job search websites that they're looking for more people.

Pros

Lionbridge is a well-known company and experience with search engine optimization in Lionbridge looks great on your resume.

Cons

You will put in a ratio of up to eight hours of unpaid time per hour of paid time. Expectations of earning $13.50 per hour or working twenty hours per week are grossly exaggerated. They reduce your actual hours worked based on "expected performance metrics" which are impossible to meet in the first several months of employment. Fill in your timesheet for 10 hours of work time, and you will find it reduced by more than half based on their expected productivity. Additionally, assessors study and take tests (all unpaid) for over 66 different tasks. A very limited number of paid tasks can be completed during these first several weeks. Finally, pay is monthly by international wire transfer (from Ireland - which your bank may charge for) and pay is not received until six weeks after the pay period ends. For example, when the September pay period closes (9/30) the payment will not be received in your account until mid-November. Starting out, expect to work up to ten weeks before being paid, and expect to be paid for less than ten hours of "productive time" per month. You could make more money per hour at any minimum wage job. Check the other reviews -- you won't find other assessors contradicting this experience.
