In my opinion the company (as a place to work) is on the decline after a recent cooperate buyout, from what I’ve heard from more senior members of staff it used to be a really nice place to work but unfortunately it seems that higher ups are content on gutting the place to the bare bones to cut costs
This year we were told that we would all be getting a 5% increase in pay due to the cost of living rise..however not a few days later some people were told that they would not be receiving this and in addition those that were receiving an increase in pay would be lucky to get 3%
In addition we were all coerced onto a new contract which arguably left most people worse off with an increase to working hours and a reduction to break times, when this was questioned people were shouted down at and the issue was dismissed as a point of contention
More senior members of staff are being indirectly pushed towards the door as there is next to nothing in regards to career progression, stagnant pay and the slight of newer member being offered higher rates of pay than those who have been there for much longer
The company also has an abysmal level of communication, getting an answer from management it’s like getting blood from a stone at times, general information isn’t passed down through normal channels rather through the office grapevine which is rather disconcerting
With the increase in clients and the demands that brings, higher ups are going to have a rude awakening when they realise that their underpaid, overworked, experienced workforce that does the day to day leg work leave in droves as they’d be better off elsewhere
