Pros

*They pay isn't terrible. It starts very low (around $13 or $14 an hour) but it can go up slowly from there. *You get most holidays off and paid, including Juneteenth (which they had to work pretty hard to convince the board of btw)

Cons

*The health "benefits" are a joke. No one can afford them. The health insurance was like half of my pay for a month. *The management is ridiculous. No one knows what's going on and no one can agree on what to do about problems. *DEI issues abound - they are no black, hispanic, asian, basically anyone who is not white, in senior management. They think because they have two white women in charge that that makes them diverse. They send everyone through DEI training but nothing is enforced or changed. The culture is still lily white. *The new employee training process is ridiculous. I was trained in three different positions over 3 years and received actual training for only one of them - a little bit of training any way.

LifeSpring Health Systems Response

Thank you for your response. We value your input and strive to create a great place to work. LifeSpring realizes that health insurance is expensive and for the past 12 years has kept the employee portion of insurance costs the same and has not passed on the increases. A company’s culture doesn’t change overnight; however, LifeSpring and our Board is committed to continuing to make steps to ensure the company and staff are culturally diverse and welcoming through committees, trainings, and involvement in the community. The Board has always been open and welcomes discussions on diversity and inclusion. We want everyone to be equipped to do their job. The agency has a training staff of 7 to conduct companywide trainings. Job specific training happens in each department and chain of command could have been followed to speak to your supervisor or their supervisor if you felt you were not adequately trained. If you would like to discuss your experience more or have any ideas, please feel free to reach out to us at hr@lifespringhealthsystems.org.
