Pros

Vaguely flexible, but still a sales role and lots of pressure

Cons

I don’t think black Asian minority ethnics will really be given the decent jobs. If you looked at their sales force , there’s SO many black an Asian members. An it’s these people who make the money …. The upper echelons it’s hilarious to see how little representation you see if the actual people who make this organisation WORK!

Pros

Middle management (cannon fodder) are decent people and fine to work with but they can only work with what comes from above, which is not a way to motivate a sales force.

Cons

Was delighted and thoroughly excited to join this company but it really is smoke and mirrors. Will lure you in with the charade of being a top firm that looks after it’s employees, too busy wanting to look like good people than actually being good people. Will insist on slowly easing you in regardless of how good you are, age and experience elsewhere, unless you want to earn steady money then by all means apply. Five leagues to work your way up, academy, gold, diamond, senior and elite. Can’t earn quarterly bonuses during probationary period. If anyone at the bottom of the ladder does dare question senior management they’re fluffed up and had their ears filled with hot air.

Pros

There are some good people there that deserve recognition and do their best to support others/their teams. If you are an adviser the financial incentives can be very rewarding, less so in other roles. Reward packages are average - not terrible but not impressive. Lots of room for progression and career opportunities - tend to grow and promote from within. Allows business to use known green candidates on lower pay rates but equally allows candidates opportunities to explore new careers safely which is great for building a career or making a switch. Throw big end of year parties.

Cons

There have been good intentions with culture and policies but sadly not supported by good execution and consistency. Senior management team are no longer a cohesive, effective and trustworthy group. Support and values are shouted about but in reality are not provided to all who ask/need it. Backbiting and sniping from senior team, poor behaviours not kept behind closed doors, toxicity and workplace bullying seeping out. Work life balance is shocking in smaller teams without proper resourcing, lots of burnout, no recognition or reward for the hours worked such as pay for the constant extra hours or time back for the loss of personal time from time to time. Benefits have been quietly stripped back and devalued over the years. No value placed on longevity and loyalty.
