Pros

Steady work with decent benefits when you are able to utilize them. Health and Dental are good, and vacation accrual is nice. Can be a rewarding (but very stressful) job, providing satisfaction and fulfillment in the form of helping others.

Cons

Virtually unable to utilize sick leave, upper management is very disconnected with the realities and expectations of the job, and has a distinct lack of empathy for employees. Company struggles to maintain consistent staff, which has a negative impact on clients. Persistent struggles with employee retention raises various safety concerns due to a lack of staffing. Vision insurance leaves much to be desired.

working with wonderful clients with learning, developmental, and medical disabilities

Cons

The company doesn't compensate the education workers the same as other employees in the residential setting even though the same tasks are completed and more regulations are in the education department. Long term employees also do not receive adequate compensation.
