Pros

Supporting and working with the homeless community.

Cons

This organization struggles with poor management across all teams. Most of the leadership team is made up of privileged white people who are so out of touch with reality. The leadership team fails to recognize their hardworking team members for keeping the entire organization afloat while they do nothing. They spend money on ridiculous dinner's for donors and other leads and fail to pay their employees a cent more. They don't give any promotions to people that have been there for years. Instead they just rewrite their job descriptions without formally changing their titles to avoid having to give out any raises. The leadership team speaks and treats their subordinates with so much disrespect, many employees have quit on spot during their shifts because it's mentally and emotionally draining. The organization pretends like they care to make a difference in the work culture but in the end do nothing. They expect you to work hard with nothing in return. If you ever need support from a lead, you will never get it because they simply don't make the time to support their staff. The expectations for employees in this organization is unrealistic. Not sure how they expect all employees to work so hard when they don't even get treated like humans.

Pros

- working with unhoused data that has potential to ask local government for help - coworkers are great - if you don't have money concerns, you could work here

Cons

- Leadership is lacking in effectiveness and guidance. - The majority of the leadership team is composed of white individuals, while lower-level staff is diverse, leading to disparities. - Concerns about low pay, overwork, lack of career growth, and limited opportunities for promotions have been raised by MULTIPLE staff. - Promotions seem to primarily favor white employees. - New hires with better pay tend to be white, contributing to wage disparities. - The highest-paid staff members are predominantly white, while the lowest-paid staff, such as case managers, are not white. - The DEIB (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging) team lacks the power to effectively address equity issues. - DEIB initiatives appear more for show to impress donors than for driving meaningful change within the organization. - HR has attempted to compensate for low pay with benefits, but they are not great. - Local government jobs offer better pay than this employer. - Some staff members have remote contracts but are still required to go to the office. - Favoritism exists among leadership regarding who can works from home, irrespective of their contract terms. - Some of the managers are useless, they do no work and get paid more than the staff doing the work - High staff turnover among non-leadership positions indicates a lack of concern for retaining employees.
