Pros

This product could possibly compete but other than that, there are no pros to this company at all. I am not disgruntled at all. I have another great job now.

Cons

The investors need to get involved and remove the CEO immediately! He is driving the business into the ground. This type of sale takes a sales cycle built on a relationship. The schools do not have readily available the funds to write checks for products within 15 days of a meeting. Many schools have to write grants for technology purchases. This takes time. However, the CEO has unrealistic and demanding goals that could never be reached within his deadline. He has fired Marketing and Sales directors for no reason, moved people around so quickly from day to day that it makes no sence, made Marketing or Sales Dir. write emails to sales people acting like it was from them, saying irrational things or demonstrating how incompetent his thought processes were. He has fired sales people or moved accounts to an in house account once a sale was made so as to not to have to pay commissions. There are so so so many things wrong with this man that he cant possibly be seriously running a company. Its not like a Steve Jobs situation where his madness made sence and his rudeness was tolerated due to his genius. Please understand that I say this with all sincerity, this man seriously might have a mental problem that should be handled by a Dr. before he loses everything.

Pros

You are pushed very hard and this prepares you for just about any job you can think of in the future. They tend to hire nice people and your co workers are overall decent.

Cons

Let me start out by saying that in the last 4 months, This small company has lost more employees than I can count; including all of it's accountants, multiple secretaries and tech support folks, even management. Why? because it's abusive. To start out, the CEO and CFO are crazy. In my time working at LearnPad, i've seen the CEO scream at multiple employees and call them things like "worthless" for failing to meet his insane and unrealistic demands. They expect every order and every aspect of your job to be NUMBER ONE PRIORITY, and will come down heavily on anyone who doesn't absolutely and completely fill their expectations. Outside of sales, Employees on salary are expected to work after hours, sometimes as late as 12 AM if it means making a deadline or completing a daily task. This would be fine if it wasn't so regular and employees are compensated generously for what they do, but they aren't. These people will do their very best to pay you as little as possible while sucking you dry. Which brings me to my next issue: While you absolutely do pick up some great skills, you will be hired for a simple job (accounting, secretary, tech support, etc) and then get another job thrown on you out of nowhere. They had hourly accountants being paid minimal money who were also 100% in charge of the HR department. Entry level secretaries who were expected to help manage sales OPs. Tech support guys who were treated like part time handymen. Even lower management is doing jobs that are meant for 2-3 people, and if you can't balance these positions that you never signed up for, you will be berated and blamed for it. There is also minimal to no training for any position regardless of skill level. You are expected to learn every aspect of your job almost completely solo, and there is little room for screw ups. When you are interviewed for this company, they will do everything they can to act like they are an inviting, warm, friendly company that facilitates growth and wants to help children. At the end of the day, it's all about the bottom line for it's greedy owners. Do not go into this company expecting to get a raise or move up the ranks. If you do, you will see a minimal pay increase and be given so much work, it will be damn near impossible to keep up your daily life. THIS COMPANY IS SOUL SUCKING AND EVIL!!!

Pros

Most people working at the company do have an earnest desire to promote a great product with so much potential, and they want to help customers as well as their fellow teammates within in the company. There may be opportunities to try your hand at other positions or learn new skills while helping other departments during a team effort.

Cons

Respect for employees and their efforts come off lacking in depth, without consideration of an employee's entire history and role in the company as a whole. it's almost like, all the effort an employee puts in through most of his/her time there gets completely dismissed without a second thought if s/he happens to make one "wrong" move. I guess that goes along with notion of being "expendable". I've seen people who were integral to the company's previous successes be removed, often causing a hit to the company's success. There's also a lot of over-promising/under-delivering to both customers and employees.
