Pros

For pros, it would only be a paycheck.

Cons

Cons on the other hand...I can think of quite a few. Ownership here is unfriendly, delusional, neurotic, has unrealistic expectations and will never be pleased no matter what you do. You will always be wrong even when you are right and did what was asked of you. Rick is a power-hungry narcissist who is always right and likes to talk but is uninterested in anything you have to say or suggestions you may have. He verbally abuses employees and does so in front of other employees and with the door open for others to hear loud and clear. I think this is for some kind of power trip? Do not waste your time or energy on these people, you will be sadly disappointed.

We are sorry you feel this way. As a good customer said, when someone leaves, especially when they are left go for poor performance, they always look at one side. Most of our employees are tenured for 8-20 years. Many long-term employees grew professionally and financially. They grow by supporting and listening to Company needs. Since many of our procedures and ideas came from employees, I would not say we don't listen. Any long-term employee will tell you we listen and support their personal needs. We have left very few people go in 28 years, however when mistakes are made and not learned by, we are forced to move on for the good of all staff. Again, I apologize for the way you feel. Getting more involved and learning the position to grow both you and the Company helps all parties.

Pros

Employees are granted a one-hour lunch break each day.

Cons

Full disclosure: I was fired from Lasting Image after a short while. Communication issues arose and I was probably under-qualified for the position. This review is not meant to be spiteful! Only cautionary. Rick Mann is an absolute nightmare to work for. The extent of his micromanagement was truly astounding, yet he struggled immensely to convey his ideas - and I was admonished whenever I came to him with a question. The workplace felt very hostile and certainly affected my productivity. Simply put, Mr. Mann is a bully. (Any semblance of professionalism on his part collapsed the time I heard him storming through the hallway, swearing loudly about a client.) Oh, and ignore his narcissistic ramblings on this page. Any "Mann" who has to go out of his way to leave a glowing review of himself and his own company is doing something very wrong!

So sorry to hear about your view of our company and how you were treated. There are normally two sides to every story and our goal is to deliver the very best service we can. In a small business , our team members (many of which are here over 15 years) know the focus. I always share a story about Ginny who has been with us for 20+ years. In the very beginning, I sat with her daily to make sure she was handling everything the right way, we call this training, not necessarily micro-management, but it could be taken that way. That daily meeting went to three days a week, and then twice a week, and then one a month, and for years thereafter she had total trust from us. It just takes time in any new position to earn that trust, as we do things differently....for all the right reasons. I do apologize for anything you took away from here as being negative. We are VERY customer focused, very driven. Most people who are here a month or two do not see the true value until they get to know us. When you first come aboard, it can be viewed as negative, until you are here for a year when you see all the reasons we do what we do, as the many employees who do enjoy working here and have been here for 15+ years.

Pros

They paid me money ...period

Cons

The "owner" is a trip. He is such an egotistical megalomaniac that if it weren't for the lack of competition in town, he'd be broke with no company to peddle his garbage overpriced products to good people.

Boy, I really apologize for leaving a bad taste. As a small business, I have very little time and there is no excuse. Most of my day time hours are devoted to our customers, as I hope is noticeable. My evenings are my time to follow up on emails and plan the day to day in our business. Your comment, however has made me start something new, which is a daily morning meeting with all staff to talk through the day to day, where everyone can comment on the day. I feel it is helping. Thank You for your comment, and although I am not thrilled to hear about your dissatisfaction, it has taught me a lesson. Thank You and I wish you much success into your future. Rick
