Pros

-60% discount -Can get some treatments for free -Good health insurance

Cons

I used to love this company when I started. It’s what got me out of bedside nursing and was great at first. About a year ago they brought in some investors and it’s been spiraling down hill ever since. So many changes have been made to benefit the company but to the detriment of the nurses. Nurses on all levels have been quitting, the company has recently lost multiple Nurse regional managers. Los Angeles lost all 3 of ours within a month. What changed? The schedules are now double/tripled booked so multiple people are expecting to be treated at the same time, they shortened the allotted time you are given to treat, The new manager has been bullying nurses that they should be able to just do what’s expected, which basically means rush a treatment and that is not safe, you are pressured into staying after your shift to treat patients who are waiting because of being double booked. As a nurse you generally have a sense of autonomy when working, however here there is none, you have zero control over your day which has been jam packed with patients. Every nurse I talk to is looking for a new job. These issues have been brought up recently during meetings and sadly it seems like upper management just doesn’t care. They have the mentality that this is what happening and leave if you don’t like it. - Pay raises are $1 a year

Pros

Decent starting pay, but expect only a 1-3% raise each year.

Cons

No commission or extra income except for a corrupt "upsell" system that is loosely monitored and verified. NO SAFETY precautions for patients OR staff (triple and quadruple bookings are a regular thing). When questioned, my manager stated, "If you don't like it, then leave, because triple booking is here to stay." Clinicians have a requirement to be available 7 days a week to accommodate "business needs", so don't work here if you have a family or children (like me), or want work/life balance because it is simply non-existent. You accumulate 1 day of PTO/month, so you only get 1.5 weeks off per year. If you call off or leave early from a shift (sick, emergency, etc.), they will automatically apply your PTO to your timecard. They have many class action lawsuits against them from former employees for unsafe/unlawful working conditions, so do your own research on those.

Pros

Aesthetics is a fun, high energy medical specialty and there is a lot to learn. There is a high volume of patients which helps to build skills and become comfortable with laser treatments and beginner toxin and filler.

Cons

Unfortunately I could not in good faith recommend working here any longer. I am really shocked at what I saw happen over the past year to hard-working, loyal employees. It's hard to pin point if it's power trips, ego, fear, greed or being in over their heads without being able to figure out to proper people to put in elevated management and executive positions. The general tone is you get talked down to like children, and so many cringey calls with multiple mentions of nurses being lazy and not wanting to work hard. The whole mentality regarding the clinical team is clinicans are replaceable. If you ever get an engagement survey, you'll just be told that things are the way they are, your feedback isn't valued and if you have concerns don't let the door hit you on the way out. There are no longer clinical growth opportunities, and if they continue in the same direction, there will be less and less for the foreseeable future. Never mind the fact that many put in executive positions have not been put there based on measurable metrics and results but nepotism. The culture and spirit that lead to high growth, heavily engaged staff, and confident nurses has been cut out day by day and soon a shell of a company will be left and will probably follow in the footsteps of the likes of Soulcycle.
