Pros

I have had a very good experience at Language Master. The LM assistant is always so helpful and they have open and honest communication with teachers. It's great to earn some extra money and the layout of the app is very user friendly.

Cons

I have not had a bad experience.

Pros

The teacher's assistant, Jessie, is very good, and he answered plenty of questions from me. He goes out of his way to assist you. The platform is quite easy to use once you know how via the one-on-one guided tour. Pay is pretty reasonable at ± $11 up to $20 an hour once you've done your two hours of probation. I've yet to be exposed to students, although their ad says they're dedicated. Watch this space!

Cons

The onboarding was poor. While they do provide you with some materials to read, which are helpful, there's no formal program to guide you through the process. I had hundreds of questions because one is told nothing. And you're left to dig through the "Urgent Notice on App Update!" where the key information is hidden. However, this still leaves you with many questions. I had to request a one-on-one meeting with the teaching assistant to gain an understanding of how the platform works. It's like you're dumped on a desert island and left to fend for yourself. There is NO way of knowing what you're going to be teaching. Students can Randomly Call you, and you've no idea what you're up against. The same with the slots you open on your schedule. These are for booked lessons, but again, there is no indication of what you will teach. Big bummer! It's all on a smartphone, which is an awkward medium to use. Give me a laptop any day. Self-marketing. There are no guaranteed students, and you're expected to promote yourself through various means, including creating short educational videos.
