Run, mismanagement at the top, false promises and lies

Pros

Healthcare benefits are actually good but the stress and constant fear of employment is not worth it.

Cons

The CEO has no business running a business. No idea how to talk to and treat people. Harassing emails, threats of termination, long winded emails that blame everyone and everything and does not take OWNERSHIP for what he has done! The company itself has near 100% turnover. Constant knee jerk reactions with slashing site level budgets with no notice. Improper planning resulting in site level credit card usage suspended. So many outstanding debts that Fedex will not do business with LM. Facilities with mold, roof leaks, air conditioning units not working. Multiple rapes, deaths, and assaults. Google Bluffton Indiana deaths. Lies and false promises by the recruiting team (most are great people!) and a COO that is a smooth talker but lacks the spine to do what is right.

Pros

Facility staff really try to help people. Getting addicted people off the streets and into recovery is always a good thing.

Cons

Recruiting lies: UNLIMITED PTO - only if you can get your position covered for the days you want off, which you can't and corporate tells you they don't have the help. STUDENT LOAN REPAYMENT - If you ever leave Landmark, you have to pay back everything they paid for you. Doesn't matter how long you worked for them. STRUCTURED RAISES ("elevator program") - Nope, they never give raises, not even yearly. If you are offered raises when you're hired, they will make you sign a new contract a few months later that doesn't include their obligation to give you a raise. Ever. But, they do perform MONTHLY performance evaluations on every employee in which you will need to demonstrate your worthiness to continue working for Landmark, or get fired. Monthly evals provide NO PERFORMANCE INCENTIVES for employees but are completely punitive.

Pros

This company is ran like an IT company (home office/upper management forgets that they are helping people in recovery). Great pay, benefits, and unlimited PTO (that they will guilt trip you into not taking) The pay and benefits traps you into feeling like you can't leave.

Cons

Where do I even start? Landmark Recovery is in reaction mode. They have messed up more ways then they can even keep track of that licensure for most of their buildings are at risk. They are in over their heads with a growth plan that wasn't executed to maintain their current census. The culture is so toxic that their strategy is to make you work as hard as possible without the correct training and give you unachievable expectations to then just fire you. "The Bar" was put into place which gives means for firing at any point. Its fear-mongering at it's finest. Everyone goes to work wondering if today is the day that either they will be fired or that the state will walk in to shut this place down. Home office/upper management admits to being so disconnected to the facilities that they truly don't care about patient safety or what their employees are going through on a daily basis. There is no sense of safety for patients or staff unless you are sitting at home office collecting a hefty pay check to not actually care about the patients.
