The Lakeside Events employee rating is 22% below average for employers within the Media and communication industry (3.7 stars).
There is no pros because you are consistently lied to about growth potential and job expectations.
Cons
Be ready to work 50 to 60 hours a week and only get paid for 40. This position is also based off commission. There was little to no guidance from management and the owner is very condescending. I never felt like I was part of the team and everything I was told during the interview was a lie.

Hello,
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We're sorry that your time with us was not what you expected it to be. Since the date of your review, we have grown tremendously in our culture and as a company. We have set new standards for transparency that are being consistently applied daily; we are even allowing candidates to shadow the position they applied for before making a decision so they can determine if there is a good match! We apologize immensely that you didn't feel as if you were part of the team. Building relationships and team comradery are two things we value most, and we will take action to ensure that this does not happen again.
In regard to your concern with hours and pay, we do have all new employees read and agree to our onboarding documents that do agree that any overtime beyond 40 hours a week is paid time-and-a-half.
We encourage anyone with a concern about the culture or environment here at Lakeside to give us feedback so we can resolve the issue in a timely matter.
If you have any further concerns that you feel we have not addressed, please give us a call at the office and we will be happy to assist you!
-The people are friendly
-Mondays are always off
-Motivating meetings
Cons
- work weekends
-dont get compensated for travel expenses unless you drive from the office to location
-brainwashing technique ( managers made it seem like it was the best job in the world and that someday you could own all these expensive things...) Also during the interview they made it seem like they were only choosing 1 out of the top 3, when in reality everyone got the job because they are desperate for workers.
-horrible pay
-no benefits
-absolute waste of my time
Positive work environment, friendly staff, unlimited growth opportunity, & transferable skills. The things I have learned here have taught me invaluable skills in teaching others, being a leader, and management experience.
Cons
I literally love every day of my career and wouldn't trade it for the world.
