A strange company

Pros

- Very friendly team and some incredibly smart people. You'll learn lots. - Good work/life balance and (mostly) relaxed atmosphere

Cons

- Lack of leadership in Bristol (feels like the root cause of a lot of the issues) - No real HR department; no performance management, etc. - Lack of progression; both career and pay. - With core admin and decision making happening in Japan there’s a bit of a “us" vs. "them” divide. Timezones and language barrier can be an issue too. - Bare minimum pension contribution - Office could do with some renovation - lots of damp patches! - Stock price isn't doing great (TYO:4425) - Can be incredibly inefficient (e.g. long meetings with no agenda that nearly always overrun) - Can feel pretty chaotic at times

Pros

Flexible working, relaxed atmosphere, self-initiative based role, great team of very smart individuals, good progression/promotion track

Cons

Slight lack of vision, it is a small business so random tasks may come your way if no one else can do it.
