Pros

There are no pros that unless you are a Scientologist.

Cons

You are told not to discuss politics or religion and one of the first things out of the CEO’s mouth is that he is a Scientologist. Run away!!!

Hi, this is Stu, KnowBe4's CEO. I'm glad you brought this up! Let me address your comment. Everyone in KnowBe4 knows I'm a (proud) Scientologist. But that is where it ends. It would be the same if I was a (proud) Christian, Jew, or Muslim. We are an equal opportunity employer and fully EEOC compliant. There is no discrimination for or against *any* religion. And yes, everyone that works here is asked to keep politics and religion out of the workplace, for reasons that are very obvious because these topics are more divisive every year. When you read this review, know that KnowBe4 does its level best to make this a great place to work for *everyone*! Warm regards, Stu

Pros

Middle management is top class.

Cons

CEO is completely out of touch now. He will justify not giving raises etc… while also bragging about his nice house, and the purchase of a new vehicle. He acts like we all have his type of money laying around. Comp changes turned out to hurt not help. Changes to monthly bonus has us earning less even in months we crush it. Overall, people who loved working here are growing more and more unhappy. Forced RTO for locals. Even if hired for Remote work.

We appreciate your perspective. We deeply care about each Knowster, and we work hard to foster an environment where personal growth, well-being, and mutual support are at the core of our company culture. Our CEO is committed to clear and direct communication, and when asked during an AMA he routinely conducts during our daily company-wide meeting about the Cybertruck, he openly acknowledges his decision to get one. This straightforward approach reflects his commitment to transparency, ensuring everyone is on the same page. Our bonuses are directly tied to sales goals, and I want to emphasize that these goals increase every month. Last year, we cleared over $7,000 in bonuses. There were also year-end pay increases similar to what we have done each year in the past.

Pros

Team can be great, if you’re on the right one Tuition reimbursement Certification reimbursement Basic health insurance 100% employer-paid (not sure if it still is)

Cons

So many perks/benefits have been stripped since they went public and then were acquired by Vista - Bonuses used to be close to $2k per month, now you’re lucky if you even get one - They took away the Cost of Living Adjustment regardless of inflation skyrocketing, even when they had it, it wasn’t even half of the year’s inflation rate - Took away free monthly ClassPass credits - Forced RTO for no reason other than to be able to watch you - Took away annual holiday party at Universal, now it’s a local beach party?? - The base pay for many roles is DANGEROUSLY below the standard of living for singles - Lied about lay offs recently, randomly laid off 25 people one day and said nothing

Thank you for your feedback. Our company-wide bonuses have always been based on monthly sales metrics and have never been a monthly guarantee. They also never averaged “close to $2k a month” over the course of a year. Yes, we hit $2k in months before, but they never averaged close to $2k every month. Last year, we paid out $7,500+ to each Knowster in bonuses throughout the year, similar to prior years. The ClassPass utilization was very low, so renewing this benefit didn’t make sense financially. We offer PeerFit, which also covers many monthly gym memberships and fitness classes. Our Hybrid Return to Office policy is designed to foster career growth and facilitate collaborative efforts by providing a conducive in-person work environment. While Universal was an incredible holiday party in years past, it was not feasible this year, given the economic climate and changes we are undergoing internally. Based on our regular surveying of current employees, most Knowsters love what they do, feel supported by management, and are happy with their current positions. We are sorry to hear that this was not the case for you, and we wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors.
