Pros

The biggest pro is no longer working here.

Cons

If you'd like to be subjected to the mercurial machinations of a complete malignant narcissist madman, this is the place for you! The CEO is the most pathetic garbage human that you could imagine. A complete charlatan with some not-so-redeeming 'Rainman' like qualities. If you are wondering what it may be like to work here, think Trump (mis)administration level chaos as being a great analog. Instead of being fired in a tweet, you'll be notified of your termination in a canned email. Not even enough self-respect to phone you or tell you through Zoom, no backbone. The CEO will spew lots of things he thinks you want to hear. He couldn't manage his way out of a paper bag. He takes zero accountability for his own poor decisions. Expect chaos and strife, these are what he is best at. He and his cronies get off on dead-naming trans folks. He has recently brought in a new crop of 'consultants' and by consultants, I mean grifting sycophants. They are nothing more than a rag-tag band of washed-up losers that are probably the only people willing to do business with Kink. It will only be a matter of time before he blames them for something (like a good narcissist is wont to do) and kicks them to the curb. Do yourself a huge favor and avoid Peter and his toadies at all costs.

Thoroughly bittersweet.

Pros

Working with an amazing set of people. Great location, great culture, great building. It's literally a castle surrounded by burritos. Solid revenue stream, with a great product even if it's not necessarily your, uh, thing. Thoroughly excellent fringe benefits. Really, really, *really* amazing people to work with. Emphatically never boring. Hired chef > catering. AMAZING people to work with/for.

Cons

Culture of deferred maintenance; the infrastructure needs some love that I don't honestly believe it's going to get. Terrible 24/7 shifts. Very poor project management. All of the classic problems associated with an seriously unsupervised development culture. I must repeat: rapidly decaying technical infrastructure.

A great company squandered.

Pros

None. There are very few places in the world worse to work at.

Cons

Kink.com is just now entering a phase of chaos and upheaval as the founding owner of the company has returned to the company to do everything in his power as CEO to destroy the brand and devalue the people who were working hard to build it for the future. Peter Acworth has no loyalty to anyone and will often disparage and demean people behind their backs as he razes the very thing he built to "reorganize" the brand. This has the effect of demoralizing everyone around him who are not part of the parties that are being put on to laugh about their plunder of a once valued brand. He has no honor, is mysoginistic, and has only concern for how much money he can squeeze from you. Contracts will often have unattainable expectations within them so if you do choose to be anywhere near his chaotic sinking ship then at least be warned to read carefully.
