A Bloodsucking, Backstabbing and Horrible Company
Pros
You will be assigned to different projects (working with >3 projects simultaneously is a norm here) so you can follow some nice PMs and learn from them. IT colleagues of similar ages are easy going.
Cons
1. You got underpaid This company squeezes you inside out with a salary much lower than the market price and long work hours. With the expanding business, the bonus is still insultingly low (a few thousand, $0 if you haven't worked for a year). Always make excuses of not giving bonus. 2. Your privacy is not respected Your phone no is posted on your MS Teams profile. Also, your full name, photo and phone no are put in Lotus where everyone can see it. Saw a non-HR colleague copy all employees' phone numbers to add them in Whatsapp groups. 3. Backstabbing superiors Did nothing wrong. Still, my superiors conspired with HRs to sack me on my last day with a made-up reason "Bad attitude". Made it very difficult for me to find my next job. I would say they're the ones with horrible attitude. Before being hired, already heard them criticise my expected salary like they're bargaining in the fish market. 4. You got assigned to different workplaces Most of the IT team colleagues almost never step foot into the office. They need to work in clients' offices. Some offices are extremely crowded and dirty but Kinetix never listens to your complaints. They just want you to sxxk it up. Being able to tolerate bad environments doesn't mean you deserve this. 5. Bad office environment Kinetix's office is packed as well. There is no fixed seats for IT professionals. Most projects are very demanding and we had to OT til very night, but the office policy is no air-conditioning after 8pm. So imagine having to work till midnight while sweating.
