Pros

Allot of freedom depending your manager, you'll make a good living if you can cold call and sell on value only.

Cons

If you lack the ability to make allot of cold calls and sell on value only you will not be successful, products are some of the most expensive in the industry and you will be told "You're too expensive" more times then you can ever count, this is commission only sales. Some Regional/District managers are less then honest with potential new hires because they are compensated on how many people they bring into the system, some middle managers are inept at best, and are incentivized to hire people that lack the minimum skills to do the job as a result they have a very high turn over rate, they do not promote from with in and hire people from outside of the industry.

Pros

I did made one solid friend that has validity and I learned for certain that high pressure sales calls for $50 orders was just as bothersome to me as it was the customer. Overall, Kimball has good quality products at a premium price.

Cons

Certainly one of the most unprofessional, skill deficient, untruthful Regional Managers backed by a blind-eye turning upper management in any business that I have ever been involved in. Not since middle school has flatulence, zit popping and falling asleep on the job been so common. Every joint sales call would leave me confused and wondering how this guy was able to hold this job and worse, what was keeping me at this company. His daily success was based entirely on when and where he at lunch and how much gas he could pass without defecating himself(which actually happened). My job as a “SMIT” was to build a base then recruit a team. I simply could not see myself bringing another professional into that role and being able to sleep at night so I chose to move on.
