Politics, micromanagement... It seemed to me that in our training, we talked about changing kids lives, becoming a team and being trusted to perform our tasks with our unique characteristics. However, it seems like when things get even a little tough, those ideals fly out the window and people start pointing fingers and assigning blame. Biggest con would have to be when we were told that we should feel comfortable reaching out to management with concerns/possible improvements but speaking to some of the highest up in the chain is like talking to a brick wall.
