Pros
Loved working here but unfortunately my time here was cut short. Flexible. The company really helped the employees down in Texas when Hurricane Harvey hit. Most employees lost everything and they created a Go Fund Me account and raised money and then Keyera matched that amount. When hired on they give a $3000 loan since your paycheck is a month behind to help you transition with your bills, etc. Vacation time is given on the first day you are hired.
Cons
This company continually talks about being "family" but they don't treat their employees like family. They give special treatment to certain employees. They portray to follow a protocol for write-ups/terminations (Example: 1 verbal warning, 1 written warning and then termination), however, they don't do this. One day you are there and the next you are gone. And they won't give you any reason why. The superintendent of the plant will stab you in the back. He comes across as very nice and a great boss to work for but will cut you loose at any given moment and he makes the supervisor do all his dirty work. He goes to have drinks after work with non-management employees to talk about management. They create jobs and offer them to other staff members that "they like" without giving other employees a chance to apply for the position. It's all about popularity and who they like at the time.
