Pros

There used to be many pros.

Cons

This company has no direction. It takes on everything at once and consequently, acquisitions, system conversions, etc . fail miserably, leaving employees frustrated and overwhelmed. Shareholders, do your homework. Research the employee turnover rate and the number of consultants hired to try and keep the company afloat.

Pros

Peers are great to work with

Cons

Where do I start?? I have been around for more years that i want to admit (thinking it will get better). They are so "shareholder" focused they could care less about any employee!! Everything is driven by that oh-mighty shareholder dollar that no one ever gets raises unless its .01%, .5% or maybe 1% (yes i got .01% one year). This is completely unsatisfactory and disgusting how they treat us. They expect us to work hard, get all our goals done and then get nothing every year?!! In ~6 years i have gotten less than 4% total and that is with me being a good if not great employee based on my reviews. Also, when they do give raises they break it up over the year so they can give you table scraps throughout the year (example: give you .25% in the first quarter and .5% late in the year). This is once again so they can keep that oh-mighty dollar a little longer for the shareholders. Dont get me wrong, Im not saying give me my money and lots of it, but come on 4% in ~6 years?? that doesn't even cover inflation. Next thing would be the unbelievable lake of accountability. I have seen this in other places but nothing to this level. People just do whatever and no one is ever checks them on it. Even when its been addressed that it was an issue. In IT we always have to deal with difficult timeline goals, which is understandable and kind of part of the job. But this company takes it to a whole other level. Despite what Top level managements thinks they NEED to involve and apply the boots on the ground information to any/all projects for planing, scaling and timeline goals. Way to many times in the past years have they shoved down our throat some massive project with an insane timeline that sets us up for failure every time and all they say is why wasn't it done on time or why did it fail? Yeah we know why but it went on deaf ears or more often than not no one will speak up because we are to keep our mouth shut. Unfortunately the culture is the same throughout the company. Most of the other departments are treated worse than cattle. Showing/Giving Respect goes a long way for almost everyone but the lack of it in this workplace is disgusting.
