      BEWARE THIS COMPANY!!! THE WORST COMPANY I'VE EVER WORKED FOR!

      Pros

      The people use to be the heart of the company but an ego filled CEO makes the culture and product so toxic.

      Cons

      One word CEO! His ego and ignorance are as big as the moon. The people walk on eggshells daily to avoid his abusiveness tendencies. He does not care about anyone but himself. The leadership team is completely useless because they hear the constant complaints but don't do anything but stroke his ego. Oh and another thing over 30+ people have left within a year???! This is a huge red flag.

      Travel to London was nice

      Cons

      CEO loves to micromanage every aspect of the company then complain about how much harder he works than everyone else. The lack of tenured tech employees with true startup building experience is what has driven it into the ground. I wouldn't wish Kalo on my worse enemy

      Great market fit, attention of some big brands, product getting better

      Cons

      We have had close to 30 people leave over the last few months including big executives that had plenty of experience to make Kalo a great place to work. Unfortunately, top down doesn't get how to treat employees and the value of being genuine or authentic. Truly a bummer because everyone is leaving and will continue to.

      Since this review, our CEO has built out a seasoned leadership team, including our CTO (ex-SuccessFactors/SAP), VP Product (ex-LinkedIn/Wealthfront), and COO (ex-realtor.com/Barclays).
