Pros

Benefits are about the only pro

Cons

So very many, clique oriented, you have to be in the circle of trust of the ego maniacal CEO or you are treated like chattel. No communication from the CEO and Direct reports to front line staff, they are so focused on licensing homes they don't care that we license the WRONG homes. Trying to place too many kids in unprepared foster homes...just an awful environment for everyone. They seem to foster an attitude of elitism that gets employees in adversarial roles with each other. Go to HR about perceived threats from another employee and they poo poo it. Say don't worry about. Well that's great until someone goes postal like we see on TV all the time. So glad to finally be gone

Pros

Child welfare mission is admirable

Cons

Understaffed, low pay scale, very little communication from top level management to front line, the middle management sector is an entitled clique that is encouraged from the top. They are part of the "inner circle" so to speak. HR is not interested in employee issues and those who complain are "punished".
