I have never seen a workplace culture and environment shift faster and more dramatically than when the current CEO transitioned from interim to full time. From the time I started at K-LOVE until the end, the company I once worked for became completely unrecognizable. The word "calling" is not just encouraged here, it is weaponized. You will be told, directly and repeatedly, that if God called you to this place, you will sacrifice what is required to be here, whether that's your work-life balance, your health, salary, time with family, and life outside of the building. That framing is used deliberately to make it difficult to advocate for yourself without feeling like you're failing God. That is so far from what a ministry should be. The hybrid work model was eliminated with no accommodations for employees who are chronically sick, have young children/are caregivers, or who commute long distances with no additional compensation, PTO/sick time, and are given no flexibility in any scenario. The people who needed flexibility most were not prioritized by the ministry in any way. A covenant document was rolled out to all employees, a fairly standard statement of faith and lifestyle expectation seen at other Christian organizations. But the rollout was disturbing, and way it was handled said everything about the direction the culture was headed towards. Employees were given a signing deadline, and those who did not sign by that date were to be terminated. The turnover is unbelievable. Nearly all of the executive leadership has left, and employees at every level have resigned. Everyone who is not in the innermost circle of leadership knows the culture is the worst it has ever been, and none of it raises concern to leadership. I have never been more physically, emotionally, and spiritually depleted than I was in my final days at K-LOVE. The company claims to operate in the name of the Lord while actively violating the values it claims to represent. I have watched incredible people be ground down and leave. There are organizations doing genuine kingdom work that will not cost you your peace, health, or sense of self to be part of. This is not one of them. "But Jesus called them to Himself and said, "You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and those who are great exercise authority over them. Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you, let him be your servant." - Matthew 20:25-26 NKJV

-Dept director micromanages. -Almost all executive leaders have left. -CEO is hardheaded and not willing own mistakes/ receive feedback. -Consistently positive perks are being taken away. -Hybrid work taken away -Director has changed our schedule multiple times impacting work/life. -People fired out of the blue for no reason. Makes everyone wonder if they will be next. -CEO forced all employees sign a covenant of lifestyle. All who didn’t were fired.
